MILOai College ROI is a free tool for students to help plan for college. It lets you compare colleges for the same major across different four-year schools on a common basis.
I’m a high school student in California and built this to answer a practical question: does this degree pay for itself, roughly how long might that take if I borrow or get some aid, and how might the major I choose be affected by AI in the future?
I also built this project to learn to code, economics, data models, AI tools, and what it takes to deploy a digital product from A to Z.
What MILOai COLLEGE ROI is — and isn’t
- Is: a planning sketch built on public College Scorecard data, with transparent assumptions you can adjust (aid, debt, years in school, home state).
- Is: a way to compare schools on the same major and inputs — not a ranking site.
- Isn’t: financial advice, admissions prediction, or a guarantee about your personal outcome.
- Isn’t: a substitute for visiting campuses, talking to counselors, or weighing fit and health.
